THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY FOR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY is a Public charity 501(C)(3) nonprofit post secondary educational facility incorporated since 2004, operates at the state of California and a State Governmentally Certified as a Nonprofit Educational Supplier.

On October 11, 2009, Governor Schwarzenegger signed Assembly Bill (AB) 48 (Portantino, Chapter 310, Statutes of 2009). AB 48 is known as the Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 ("Act") and establishes the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education within the Department of Consumer Affairs. The Act became operative on January 1, 2010. The Act can be found HERE .

Since January 1, 2010, private postsecondary schools operating in California had become under the jurisdiction of the Bureau and subject to the requirements of the Act, unless they are exempt pursuant to sections 94874, 94874.1, or 94927.5 of the Act.

The American University for Science and Technology's Application for approval had been submitted in time along with all the required academic, financial and administrative documents to make AUSTC legally operational as per current rules until receipt of the official approval. We had been in a one-on-one review, successfully completed all the required reviews and moved forward for final review and official approval decision which is expected in the very near futur. Until we receive the official approval, we are legally obligated to include the following disclaimer:

"This institution’s current application for Approval has not yet been reviewed by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education."
